Crown Lengthening
Crown Lengthening is a procedure to remove the excess gum tissue, exposing more of the “crown” portion of the tooth.
During this procedure, the gum line is sculpted to create the right proportion between gum tissue and tooth surface. This sets the stage, allowing room for your General Dentist to attach Veneers or Crowns, while ensuring they have the correct length and shape.
This procedure is for patients who feel their teeth or too short (also known as gummy smile) or their gum line is uneven.
